Our philosophy
Our principals constitute the hub of a tightly-knit constellation of investors, mentors, coaches, and startup founders.
Let’s face it, there are thousands and thousands of resources available online and in person, worldwide, to help tech startups grow from an idea to IPO. We love tech startups, and we’re happy this help is out there for them.
But what about the rest of us?
What guidance, coaching, or financing is there for the 99.9% of companies out there that are not the next Google, Uber, or Instagram? You know, the “normal” companies like a candy manufacturer or a home renovator who actually employ most of us and drive our economy?
We’ve been teaching teens how to launch these “normal” companies, what are often called tangible startups, for years now. We’ve also been advising adult startup founders for a lot longer than that. Indeed, our principals and most of our mentors learned business as founders of tangible companies ourselves.
Our founding vision is to help normal people start normal companies – to guide hundreds of them, and invest in a few we feel show promise and match our own values.

We believe that money should go in just one direction: from our fund to business founders. Not every business founder is ready for investment, so we also provide no-cost mentoring when we see a fit. Often the best service we can provide is just to make introductions, so we put founders in touch with the lawyers, bookkeepers, accountants, marketing specialists, materials suppliers, or mentors they need.
BCG provides seed funding and mentoring to small business founders looking to take that next step and build something remarkable. Right now, our focus is on companies in the Southwest Florida area, where we are based.

The Long Game
Your business may be nothing more than an unfinished idea right now. It may be a side-hustle that brings you in a few hundred extra bucks a month.
